Researcher at the Center of Marine Sciences (CCMAR-University of the Algarve) with major studies on assessing the impact of commercial fishing on marine resources. Graduate in Marine Biology and Fisheries with a MSc on Marine and Environment Coastal Studies by the Faculty of Environment and Marine Sciences of the University of the Algarve. Current Research Interests Current studies on the assessment and mapping of the biodiversity of the Algarve’s coast. Currently involved in the collecting and data processing for the characterization of habitat/biotopes of the National Ecological Reserve in the Algarve. One of the main interests of the research relates to the use of acoustic systems of sea bottom classification and the application of geographical information systems in the assessment of biodiversity.
