the Algarve.
2008-2010: Research biologist at the Florida
Program for Shark Research at the University of Florida.
2008: MSc Marine Biology and Conservation,
University of the Algarve.
2005: BSc. (Hon) Marine Biology and Fisheries,

Current Research Interests
Currently I am a PhD student on "Population
dynamics and fisheries assessment of the bigeye thresher shark (Alopias
superciliosus) in the Atlantic Ocean: a comparison between
North and South Atlantic fishing stocks".
My current research interests are integrate
multidisciplinary aspects of fisheries, biology, population
dynamics and satellite telemetry to study pelagic sharks in an
Ocean wide perspective, with the objective of providing and
supporting science-based management initiatives.
